RECEIPT OF BIDS: Separate sealed BIDS or Electronic Submittal using Sciquest for the construction of 2019 Concrete Rehabilitation Project will be received by Sam Kelly, City Engineer at the City of Orem, Engineering Division, 56 North State, Orem, UT 84057, or opened electronically on Sciquest until March 21, 2019 at 10 am and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. The preferred method for submitting a bid is by using Sciquest at purchasing.utah.gov (Select the search bar > select Current Bids > enter “Orem” > search).
BIDDING QUESTIONS – Use Sciquest to submit questions and download documents relating to bid items, specifications, and other technical questions. The project engineer is Zack Fisher at (801) 229-7331. A pre-bid meeting will be held on March 7, 2019.
OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained February 28, 2019 on Sciquest under 2019 Concrete Rehabilitation Project or at the City of Orem, Engineering Division, Development Services Offices, 56 North State Street, Orem, UT 84057. There is no fee from the City to obtain the documents on Sciquest. There will be a $20 non-refundable fee for a copy of the plans and specifications. (An additional $5.00 service charge will be assessed if the plans and specifications are to be mailed).
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The WORK includes 27 ADA ramps, 900 LF of 6’ Monolithic Sidewalk, Curb, and Gutter, 680 LF of Concrete Driveway Approach, 40 LF of Concrete Cross Gutter, and 720 SF of Concrete Flatwork. The engineer’s estimate is for the work $240,000 to $260,000.
SITE OF WORK: The site of the WORK is located at 1200 West (950 North to 1600 North), 400 East (1400 South to 1864 South), 1800 North (800 West to State), 760 West (1800 North to 1725 North), 1725 North (800 West to State), 680 West (1725 North to 1650 North), 1700 North (800 West to State).
