Advertisement for Northern Utah Aviation Center
The US Forest Service has a need for a Helibase Facility which offers office, storage, helipads, and parking at an FAA approved airport. Offered space must meet Government requirements for fire safety, seismic, accessibility and sustainability standards per the terms of the Lease. A fully serviced lease is required. Offered space shall not be in the 100 year flood plain.
Space type: Helibase Facility – provides approximately 8000 rsf to include approximately 4,180 square feet of office and 3,820 of Warehouse space.
73,000 square feet of tarmac space for two Type 2 helicopters and one Type 1 helicopter.
Parking spaces: 50 parking stalls “approximately 21,200 square feet”, (10 fleet parking stalls and 3 fueling truck parking stalls) “approximately 6,800 square feet”.
A 625 square feet (minimum 9 feet interior height) covered workspace areas (may be attached to building); and a 400 square feet (minimum 9 feet interior height) pavilion (may be attached to building).
The site to support the required features is estimated at a minimum of 3.0 acres.
Entities are advised to familiarize themselves with the telecommunications prohibitions outlined under Section 889 of the FY19 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), as implemented by the Federal Acquisition. The Northern Aviation Center should be located at a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved site for helicopter operations within the geographical area served by the helitack crews and associated response requirements (all areas within the perimeter of Brigham City, UT to the North; Spanish Fork, UT to the South; Salt Lake City to the West, and Heber City, UT to the East.
