Utah State University Libraries is requesting proposals from vendors able to provide
the following features for an integrated library system (ILS) or a library services platform (LSP): • Supports an online public catalog as well as circulation, acquisition, serials, cataloging, authority control, course reserves, reporting, administrative, and fund accounting functions. Additional supports for interlibrary loan are welcome. • Provides an electronic resources management system • Provides a cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) solution with a robust browser interface for all primary functions. Client interfaces are also welcome but must have an equivalent or better browser interface. • Provides interoperability with an automated storage and retrieval system • Supports a patron notification system including email and text messaging • Supports batch ingestion, editing, or removal of records, particularly cataloging, acquisitions, and patron records • Supports a multi-library system, with ability to identify and checkout material in different locations, ability to create unique web presences for different locations, and ability to track the transfer of material between locations • Adherence to Section 508 and WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) standards. • Provides a standard Application Programming Interface (API) to facilitate seamless integration with external systems and applications. • Integration with Microsoft 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) and compatibility with SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) to support single sign-on authentication processes. Support for SIP and SQL to facilitate communication and reporting.
